I. Updated March 14, 2020 - for existing reservations made on or before March 14, 2020.

Extenuating circumstances policy and the coronavirus (COVID-19) On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of coronavirus, known as COVID-19, to be a global pandemic. We are providing the following coverage for COVID-19 under our extenuating circumstances policy to help protect our guests and provide peace of mind. 

Reservations made on or before March 14, 2020- extenuating circumstances policy.

 Dear guests, because it’s important for us to continue to give people the space to relax and connect with one another, especially after times of stress and worry and meet your needs so that your holiday family spending is not endangered, we offer you extenuating circumstances policy for existing reservations made on or before March 14, 2020 theese reservations will be covered under our extenuating circumstances policy if: 

- Flights to Curacao are prevented from your original countries specified in the bookings . ( Not aplicable for transfer Countries.)

In these cases, we offer our guests the ability to change their dates to currently available terms with options until the end of 2021. 

Please inform us as soon as possible, if you are not able to realize your stay for the reasons mentioned above. 

Guests come from many different countries and regions and it is not in our power to monitor the everyday situation in all states. Subsequently, we will try solve the situation with you according to current situation and Villa capacities. 

Connecting with friends and family is important — especially during times of stress and anxiety and we hope that you will be able to come and enjoy a well-deserved planned holidays in Villa Escape, Curacao and recharge your batteries on the beautiful beaches and sun of the Caribbean! 

 Reservations for stays made after March 14, 2020 will not be covered under our extenuating circumstances policy. Please remember to carefully review the cancellation policy set when booking. 

How it works?

If your reservation is covered under our extenuating circumstances policy, guests will receive a possibility to to change their dates to currently available free terms with options until the end of December 2021 . Guest can choose alternative days only once. Guests will not get a refund if they cancel their alternative days of booking at any time after it is accepted. If your reservation is not covered with Extenuating circumstances policy, cancellation policy will apply as usual. 

We provide all guests with the recommendations below and follow-up if their situation changes : 

- As you evaluate future stays, we encourage you to review travel recommendations and restrictions, in addition to following guidance from the World Health Organization etc.  

- Consider adding trip insurance from Generali or other insurance companies. Arranging a travel insurance for your stay may cover your non-refundable trip costs if you have to cancel because you or a companion gets sick or injured before your trip. Please review here  for details. For better coverage, we suggests purchasing a "Cancel For Any Reason" policy, which offers more flexibility. As the situation evolves, we’ll be updating this page with the latest details on coverage of our extenuating circumstances policy.
